Default Intake gasket on high-ish mile engines

Knowing there are a lot of guys out here that have put some serious miles on their engines, has anybody seen any issues with the intake manifold gaskets? Every engine I have worked on has not had any problem, and I have not had a case where I needed to replace the intake gaskets. They have always popped off without issue. But.. most of the engines have not had more than 50-60k miles on them.

I have loved them over having to scrape the heads on my older SBC's.

Cross posting this to Perf-trucks.net as well.

i havent seen any problems on the LS1s. but i have seen a few of the truck motors that have needed them replaced when leaking vacuum. i think GM said it was the ones with the green o-rings in the gaskets. the trucks are quite different than the LS1s for some reason. mainly 04-05ish area. im not sure on the displacement of the motors either, maybe 5.3s/6.0s.

you dont need to spend $70 on the GM rubber intake gaskets.. Felpro now makes them, and they are great.. only cost $25.. autozone carries them.. but i bought mine from Summit since i had to order other things there anyways.. cost was $24 from there..

my stock ones were crushed and very flat when i removed the intake with 75k miles.. these new ones are great.

I reused mine with 130k on them when I switched to a LS6 intake and worked fine, no leaks.
