Default mac mids, catted y - muffler?

i've got mac mids and a catted y on the way from another member.
my current catback needs to go since the exhaust shop put in a 2.5inlet muffler.

here's my question to anyone who has experience here:
would it be ridiculously loud with just the mac mids and catted y (no muffler)?
i was thinking of throwing in the headers and catted y as soon as i get the chance, then driving the car to a (different) muffler shop or waiting for a catback to arrive in the mail. my SS is not a daily driver, so i'm more concerned about being able to drive it for a mile or two without getting pulled over.

any recommendations for a decent catback? i was thinking texas speed rumbler.

with the cats it won't be that bad to drive with no muffler.

i drove with just a 16" bullet on my Ypipe for a while...and it sounded pretty good.

It wont be that bad, I drove with just the macs, off road y and a cutout for a long time. Its loud but not to bad to drive.

my ss is lowered, so i'm concerned about the y-pipe.
will it just hang there without whatever support the catback would offer?
last thing i want is to be dragging the y-pipe everytime i hit a bump or dip on the freeway.
