Default wideband o2 placement?

is it okay if the sensor that comes with a wideband o2 kit only samples one of the cylinder bank's exhaust, i run duals and the only place where the two exhaust streams meet is in the x pipe. i dont really want to stick a sensor in the x pipe and create an obstruction. thanx

Most people put it on the drivers side around about where the rear stock o2 would go. I've got mine where the LT's meet the Y pipe, running no cats, so I have the WB fitted in the straight through pipe (where the high flow cat would be).

You could run dual WB's.

There shouldn't be much different from one site to the other, but now and again I check my O2's are switching the the fuel trims are simular on both banks. Even if you have a WB on both banks you cant tune one side more than the other anyway.
