The search function is unavailable right now, so I'll just ask. I'm getting a ported tb and LS6 intake to finish up the induction mods and noticed that there is an "upgrade" to the reg SLP cai that I have.

Anyone do this and notice a gain? Is it worth the $50 or is it like the SLP smooth bellows that does next to nothing. This is it:

IMO that piece is the key to the whole FTRA system. The SLP CAI is pretty worthless because it's missing that piece. I say go for it.

I think it would be nice to have the added air volume but also the cooler air??

I have the FTRA kit. It picked up a couple of tenths in the 1/4, but showed nothing on the dyno. Seems like it's worth it to me, I say go for it.
