Default 00-02 SLP Lid on a 98 Z?

I just bought a SLP lid off someone and completely didn't think about his car being a 02 and how the lid is different. Does the lid from a 00-02 fit fine on a 98? I hope is does since I just got it, but is the only difference the hose and is it possible to hook up the hose on my 98 like on a 00-02? Thanks

Yes it fits just fine. The only difference is the hose. You can go buy a little filter from auto zone for a couple dollars to plug on the end of that hose. Then just tuck it away down beside the lid somewhere.

Ok, is there any way I can hook the hose up? What is it exactly for, a sensor or what?

You're going to have a hole in the side of the lid with nothing to fill it with. 98-99 Cars don't have the AIR pump tube connected to the lid. All you have to do is go to your part store and get one of those little breather filters to plug it with. or you might be able to find something at a home depot or something to plug it with.

Yeah i'm going try to find some sort of plug for it. Its not a huge deal, the lid i had on before had a smaller hole in the same spot. Theoretically it should bring in more air, just unfiltered.

When I still had a SLP lid after I removed my air system I just put black tape over it. It looked clean
