Default Coolant hose being worn away by waterpump pulley

I did a cam install this weekend and while taking the radiator out, I noticed that large coolant hose that goes right in front of the engine is touching that pulley on the water pump. The hose is pretty worn down from the pulley and this was the first I've ever touched it. Anyone else ever see this?

You have the hose on too far on the neck. There is a pronounced lip on the neck, and when the hose is on the right way, it looks like it isn't on far enough. However, the right way is for the hose to not go past that lip.
