Default An AC Delco Iridium plug gapped at .035

Ive always heard your supposed to not mess with the iridium plugs gap. I have some and i was curious and got my gapper out and they were gapped at .035. What would happen if you put this iridium plug gapped that tight into a heads/cam car? Dont the iridiums burn hot as hell anyway on a stock gap...and these are .035
