Can i use stock valve covers with shaft mounted roller rockers?!?!?
i was just finishing my motor, and putted the 2001 valve covers on, then i saw on some forum that you could not use shaft mounted roller rockers without spacers?!?
so i ask, is it true? there was no problem hardening the valve cover down,
i got patriot STAGEII heads, and 2001 valve covers, Harland sharp 1.7 shaft mounted roller rockers,
please help, thanks!

I'm running the same HS rockers with AFR heads and stock valve covers - no need for spacers.
I also had them installed when I had my previous heads which were Patriot StageII 5.3's - no need for spacers then either.
If you're worried, loosely install vc's to 'feel' if there is any interference with rockers as yo put them on, then bolt them down and turn/bump the engine over without ignition to listen for any interference.
