Default Kooks headers w/ cats and borla ?

I just had Kooks long tube headers and cats installed on my 2000 Trans am ws6.
I have a borla muffler system. The problem is that the car is way too loud.It starts to get real loud at 2000 rpm.I have tried to install the middle size restrictor plate from the full open one and it still really loud.Does anybody have any suggestions how I can make the the noise level more tolerable.

Try the smalllest plate, thats what im using now and it sounds pretty good. I tried the closed plate and it was to quiet. You could also try and make a custom plate.

I think you answered your own question. Borla just sounds like a bunch of racket with the plate completely deleted from the equation.
