Is the stock y flattened on the drivers side on camaro's?? I just bought a 2002 and the y seems to be flatten most likely for clearance, is that normal??? Sorry for the newbie questions

Ever see the underside of a late model NASCAR unit ?
There's nothing wrong with a flattened exhaust system as long as its wide enough to handle the flow requirements . NASCAR vehicles sit so low to the pavement they require just such a set up . The whole underside of the exhaust system looks like the stock squared-off rectangular tail pipe tips on a Camaro Z/28 only on steroids . Chevy engineers knew exactly what they were doing when they designed the exhaust system on our beloved F-bodies. Just like they did with that ugly LS1 motor. they went for less weight & cost ( function ) over style .
