Default Re: anyone have good directions on making o2 extension

i made my own extensions by splicing into the 02 sensors them selves. use a 14-12 gauge wire. DO NOT cut all the wires at once. there are 2 purple wires in there. i cut one at a time and made each wire longer. parts needed are
length of wire needed
8 butt connectors per side
longer wire loom
i cut each wire just a bit longer than the other so as not to bunch the conectors together inside the loom. very easy to do and a lot cheaper than buying extensions. use the same procedure if you make the front of the harness longer(which will come in handy if you ever have to replace a sensor)
