Default Installed headers...banging under hard acceleratio

We installed some MAC headers along with an ORYP and borla this weekend on a 2002 Firehawk and everything went well although whenever he gets on it ..it sounds like if something is hitting the floorboard around 2nd ....while cornering hard ....how could we fix this?......It sounds as if a rubber mallet was hitting the bottom of the car!!

Ive never heard of this in macs but for my slp's you can hold the header at the collector and pull down on it before tightening the bolts, this may not seem like much room at the bolts but at the collecter it may be enough to stop the banging, you could also find where it is banging and shove some rubber hose in there, I think alot of guys with flp's do that

sounds like the y pipe is hitting or the cat back

go look under the car you should be able to see where it is hitting and adjust it with a big pry bar

The MAC Y-pipe can be adjusted easily. Just loosen the connections and reposition it.
