Default spark plugs....

ok so i have a 2000 camaro ss with...

a gm hot cam
headers
corsa exhaust (i think)
SLP lid
SLP cold air kit
Weiland Intake manifold w/ TB
Ported MAF
MSD plug wires and T5s right now


my question is what plugs should i run, i have been told the T55s but right now it idles like **** (there hasnt been a bit of tuning done) but the plugs do look a little nasty so wondering what kind i should get? just checking.

tune it, and run some tr55's

I just put on tr55s and they working out great. Plus they are a lot cheaper than densos

It runs like **** because the HotCam requires tuning to run good. It can run on a stock tune, but it'll run rich and crappy. If the plugs look nasty, I'd bet money this is why. I'd imagine your O2 sensors look about the same

If you don't have a good dyno tune place nearby, wait4me can give you a good mail tune. That along with new plugs and new O2 sensors (well, I'd take them out and look at them. If they are fouled real bad, I'd go ahead and put new ones in) and your car should run a lot better

Run the TR55's unless you plan to go nitrous soon and then do TR6's.

+1 for the tr55's. and they are really cheap through a sponsor like ws6 store, 18 bucks for all 8.

get a tune or the next set will be conked out before to long also. go by your local parts store and get a set of tr55 or equivalent plug like an autolite or whatever brand you like,an ngk plug isn't the only plug that works good,it is just the most popular plug on here (meaning this site)
