Any problems with using updated PCV valve (LS1)??
I am just wondering if anybody has run into any problems with using the new PCV valve that GM has out to stop/reduce oil consumption through the PCV system in the LS1? The new valve is nothing but a hollow PCV valve with a quite a bit smaller hole in it. I am just concerned that this smaller hole will not allow enough positive pressure to adequately ventilate the motor....
Thanks

Put one on my LS1 powered sandrail and there is no longer any oil in the manifold. Seems to work and no oil blowing out from anywhere.

I still have the original PCV valve on my 98 LS1 and have never replaced it. My car was never too bad at consuming oil, and now I have an oil catch can, so is there really any other reason to replace the PCV valve other than to minimize oil passing through?
