Default Oil Problem

I have a 2001 SS and its burning up oil like crazy. I took the intake off the throttle body and opened the throttle wide open and wiped my hand on the bottom of the blade and there was oil!! Wut wuld this problem be?

Stock PCV system. They do that from time to time. They fixed it with the LS6 PCV system. You can convert it but it requires some mod's on the block.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the 01-02 LS1's came with the LS6 PCV system..along with the LS6 intake and LS6 clutch.

Your problem is the PCV system. A lot of people fix this problem by plumbing catch cans (like the ones on air compressors) into the PCV line..after the PCV valve. Seach "Catch can" and you will find many threads about this issue.

01-02 ls1's still use an ls1 block so no ls6 pcv system. The ls6 block has a notch for the ls6 pcv system, ergo ls1 block means no ls6 setup.
