Default what exhaust??

Well I dont have an F-body yet, but in a few months I should be getting an LS1 Camaro. I want to get all my questions out of the way now so when I do get it I know what I want.

So I want to do true duals. I was thinking of getting Edelbrock long tube headers that they sell at Summit, o/r midpipe, 3" mandrel bent piping, and 2 borla xr1 round style mufflers. I'd run the 3" pipe over the rear axle and mount the mufflers where the stock one was at.

Now heres my questions...

Hows the Edelbrock headers?

What midpipe should I use? I dont want any raspyness and want the car to sound mean!

Do I need 3" piping or will 2.5" suffice? I hope to have about 400rwhp n/a and through a 100-125 shot of nitrous on it as well.

What other mufflers would you recommend?

Im not sure you can get dual 3in pipe over the axle. I beleive that you need to relocate the panyard bar.

I have a picture saved on my computer of someones true duals with 3" piping over the rear end to 2 xr1 mufflers.

I'd go 3" in your situation. I have 3" duals and I have them tucked up nicely and don't scrape that often, even with my Pro-Kit. You can run them over the axle, but it's expensive (unless you can do it yourself), a pain in the *** to get it over the axle, you'll need to relocate the panhard end on the passenger side, and you can go under the axle with out losing any ground clearance.

2.5" is plenty. I think 2.5 duals are good up to 630hp. I ran the Flowmaster 1 chambers with my duals, it sounded Bad ***! As long as you ran a race muffler with duals, I will sound "mean"!

BTW, get Pacesetter or Jet Hot LT headers. They fit really well. I would not **** with Edelbrock LTs.
