Hooker headers QTP cat y-pipe opinions
Hi guys i have finally decided on hooker headers for my 98 trans am. The first question is should i get them ceramic coateded or not, becausei have heard it does not make a big differance. Next for the y-pipe i have decided on the qtp y-pipe with cats. It is a nice price and the cats flow well. being that i am in NJ I need the cats additionally i donot want a raspy sound from my LM. what do you guys think of this set up. i will probably need o2 sims or extenders, which ones. just asking what you guys thing power wise and operationaly. THNX Eric

Coat them... will also help you sell them for a good buck when it becomes time, thats just the side benefit. Youn know the real benefits, which probably amount to better scavenging and rust resistance. Call Barry at QTP and he will tell you if the Y is a good fir and what you need w/ 02's.

FWIW, I have the Hooker Headers (got them jet-hot coated and they look awesome), along with the Hooker ORY pipe. I needed the 12" O2 extension harnesses for the O2s to reach.
