ASAP! in the middle of Hooker install have ?s
I am in the middle of installing my Hooker headers and have a couple questions.
First, the directions say to re use the stock bolts but yet there are bolts in the kit. I got the coated headers and the bolts in he kit are "stainless" and then he stock ones are rusted and look like crap so I was just going to use he ones in the kit but they are shorter than the stock ones. The thread size is the same though. Does it matter which ones I use?
Next, has anyone had problems with leaks using the supplied gaskets or should I re use my stock ones? The car only has 3k miles so they are still in good shape.

I reused my stock bolts the ones they gave in the kit are to small and you run the risk of stripping out the bolt holes from stuff I have read. I reused my stock gaskets but ended up putting in new GM metal ones. the ones they give its hit or miss but more towards them leaking.

I'm with JRcamaroZ28,
I reused the stock bolts because I heard the horror stories of people stripping bolts out into the heads because the ones they give you are too short. I reused my stock metal gaskets and my car had about 35-40k miles on it when I put my headers on.

dont use the hooker bolts they are cheap and weak, also reuse your stock gaskets they are better and easier to reinstall.
