Default 6.0 Heads on LS1?

I think I can put 6.0 Heads on my LS1, is this true? Stock block 5.7L, Im not sure if id need new headers and who makes them. Thanks

You can....but then you would have 8.5 to 1 compression ratio. Unless your running a blower/turbo you'd be backing up. As for headers its the same.

the 6.0 heads flow very similar (edit just searched,317 flows alittle more) to 241 heads but the 241 heads have 66.xx chambers v/s 71.xx for the 317s.
what heads do you have? imo you would be much better off with a set of stock 243 heads which i think have chambers around 64 cc or so.

well someone had a 6.0 w .030 milled heads and fast intake and cam w/ headers and mad 470rwhp so im trying to do something similar but on a LS1 block.

11:1 compression. The intake fit has nothing to do with the heads beings milled, they mill the heads on the chamber side, not the intake runner side.
