Default LS6 Intake question!

I just finished cleaning my intake, getting it ready for a nice paint job... The valve on the back of the intake is held on by a gasket? RTV or both? I held it up to the light and could see some light shine through it. Should I yank this sucker off and RTV or leave it as is? Just want to make sure everything is ok so I don't end up having to pull the intake off for a vacuum leak.

Pics...

I heard they break if you try to get 'em out, I would just tape it up if you don't want to paint it

I figured it out, I think the cleaning agent fumes got to me.
