GMMG Hidden tailpipes??? Anyone done it?
I plan on getting gmmg exhaust for my car, but I don't like the premium exhaust tips that they sell seperate and I don't think my car would look all that cool with the single pipes that come with the system.
I was thinking of having the tail pipes bent up and cut in a slash angle like V6 cars. I like the way formulas look with hidden exhaust.
Anyone done this? Exhaust shops should be able to bend the tailpipes that are provided in the system I would think?
Pics if you have anything similar.

Yeah, I think I will have the pipes hidden like on a V6 car. I don't really like the looks of tailpipes on formula cars due to the back bumper not enclosing them like the bumpers do on T/A's.

The tips aren't welded on. They come with clamps and slip on and slip off.
The tips make the exhaust sound so much deeper trust me.
and if you have a TA it will look stupid without tips because the bumper is cutout for them.
Do not put $10 truck slash cut tips on a $700 exhaust

I like the GMMG slash tips for the classic, clean look. I think that the ovals are a must for T/A's though, with the bumper shaped for them and all. Either way, you'll shoot a whole bunch of sticky carbon funk out of the tips, so out the back is the best if you don't want it stuck to your car somewhere. I still get some under my rear bumper with the slashes out the back.

the formula's don't look bad at all with them like that...

well there is some truth to it. depending on bends and material of the exhaust... just put a CME on an exhaust and it will sound a little different. Ive never seen just tips make that much of a difference though.

hey 94TA, i am going to be doing the same thing your asking about when i get back in country. i have had the GMMG on for more than a year and i dont like the way they look out the back of my Camaro. i know there is a user on here that has done it. and an exhaust shop should have no problems doing it.

I did that with my TSP rumbler.
all I did was leave the tips off and adjusted the exhaust so it tucked up more and clamped on a couple turndowns from the auto parts store.
Now though my exhaust dumps before the axle so there is nothing but the rearend cover to be seen...
