Default NGK Plugs

What type of NGK plugs are you guys using? The parts guy at work looked up my car and it came up as NGK TR55IX iridium plugs, but the NGK website (which didn't list 2001??) says TR55VX which I'm assuming are the split plugs. Are the iridium plugs worth the extra $$? TIA

I use the simple TR55. I think the stock # for regular TR55s is 3951. Don't know anything about TR55IX or VX models...
