Default Heard There Is An Oil Pan Alignment Tool?

Made by GM...that allows proper alignment of the pan to the front timing chain cover? Whats the scoop? Part number? Alternate sources? Alternate means of accomplishing the same thing without the tool? Thanks

Put the two bolts that thread through the bell housing first and that should align the pan.

I think most people do this method...start the timing cover bolts, but leave them loose. Install the main pulley and seat it fully....then torque all of the timing cover bolts. The pulley will line up the cover. That tool is about $450...
