Default ASP Pulley and belts

My ASP pulley walked the belt off after less than 50 miles. Did a search, and is the Katech solution the only real fix; or can something be done without buying more parts.? Thanks.

I will check the belt that is in my back seat, and the one still on the car. It may rain here today, but we'll see.
