The stock LS1 manifold is restrictive even with stock power.

The LS6 manifold, which look identical but has an internally differeny design, will give even a stock car a nice bump (~15WHP) in power.

If you're going with a heads/cam package, then your best bet is the Fast 90/90 combo. Its overkill for a stock or bolt on engine, but with a H/C package it makes great numbers.

The LS1 will "hold" as much as you wanna put into it, but it will be robbing more and more as your power goes higher and higher.

Its like chewing on a straw and trying to suck through it. When you suck a little bit its only kinda hard, but when you suck as hard as you can (more power), you really feel yourself being robbed of the air you need. Same thing goes for a high HP motor with an LS1 intake.
