Default CAI for SS hood

I have a Z28 with a SS hood and I want to make it functional so I was thinking about going with this kit http://www.volant.com/idetail.asp?ID=150 does anybody have this kit or know someone who does have it to see if it is any good. Also does anybody know where I can get the SS kit to make it functional?

From the factory, there was no "kit" to make the SS hood functional. It was not in any way sealed to the air box.

To be honest, the SS hood is not really going to make any more power for you. You would be better off just enjoying the hood for it's looks and go with our Fast Toys Ram Air Kit (FTRA) for a real power increase.

agreed...

FTRA or the SSRA are better "ram air" setups than the SS hood.

not sure if you have it already, but an aftermarket Lid will help as well

I do have a Whisper Lid, but I feel kinda stupid having a ram air hood that doesn't work
