Default Car Wont Start

I'm at a complete loss of ideas. After changing my oil one day I was letting my car warm up after I was finished. As I stood there my starter wire must have shifted and got burnt through by my headers. So it shorted out and took the ground thats next to it with it. Well yesterday I replaced the wires and used hi-temp wrap around them. I have the power wire from the starter on the + of the battery and the ground that goes with it on the - side of the battery. I then put the red power wire from the fuse block on the + side and another ground on the - side. When it is set up like this the car will not start. My electricity will be on without the key even being in it. What could the problem be? relay maybe? i have no clue and i'm ready to drive it again!

You might want to try this in the Electrical section. They'd probably give pretty good responses.

u should have just repaired the wire where it burned through. that would have been the easiest way to fix it. that way you would have fixed the circuit where you broke it, instead of trying to rewire it around the way it was meant to be

I know this isnt going to be fun but you have to trubble shoot it out find out where you are getting power and where you are not, Cheek all your relays and fuses first of corse but you might have fried your puter out that would be my guess, good luck.
