Default Tie-downs as opposed to poly bushings?

Reading some posts here about rattling, etc... and notice the mounts must be crap or something since people install poly and all ills go away. I also read it is PITA to do. So back when I had a Buick before poly mounts was around we used ratcheting tie-downs. It won't fit a sag problem but from what it looks like that isn't the problem here. It seems the motor/exhaust is lifting so wouldn't this be a cheap and easy alternative?

Could be if you can find somewhere to mount it. All the brackets are alumium so i wouldnt put them around those.

We used an eye bolt off the front of the motor/alternator. Just replaced it out. Anywhere to remove a block bolt and install and eye bolt?

If your planning to install some headers anytime soon I would replace the stock with poly during the install, itll be easier with the manifolds out of there.

I looked at doing the same thing. In the end, replacing the mounts was the proper thing to to do. You only have to do one side most of the time drivers side is easiest

Where do you buy the poly mounts? I saw an open hole yesterday on the driver's side. I will take a picture to see what everyone thinks.
