Default Fuel tank Heat shield removal

I just installed LTs and an ORY and now my fuel tank heat shield is rattling. The floorboard thudding is fixed, so I know its the rear shield rattling during acceleration. I do have a cat back as well so I figure that theres alot less heat being generated in my free flowing exhaust. I'm just worried that the catback is too hot to be next to an unprotected fuel tank. Is it unlikely that the muffler would effect the fuel tank?

I don't know about heat, but if you want to remove the shield it's very easy. There's 7 bolts (I think) that are right around 7mm. All of the heat shields in my 93 are gone, but I'll be doing a 4 inch downpipe dumped before the rear axle.

No heat shield here either....I can touch my muffler after driving for an hour and it's warm to the touch, but won't burn you.
