Default Simple magnaflow catback question

Looking to buy a magnaflow catback, I found one for sale but its for an LT1. This will work right? Just eliminate the piece that looks almost like an "S" because the LS1's have the Y in the center correct?

Its not really centered but more off to the passenger side when it connects to the catback. I am sure it could work but would take some modification like anything would. I would think you would have to save a lot of cash to buy an LT1 version. $400 to your door, brand new, for the LS1 version isnt bad.
