Default 3" exhaust to 2 1/2" tail pipe power loss question

I have 3" duals and I'd like to take them out the back over the axle. I seen some pics and it looks like the tail pipes have to be 2 1/2". How much power would this cost? I would get the tail pipes flanged so I could drop them at the track.

It shouldnt lose any hp. I think a good way to do it is use a 3"in and 2.5" out xpipe with 2 2.5" bullet mufflers.

Then it will probably cost you some hp. With that much power and cubes Id want 3.5" dual exhaust.
