Default Any experience with slide valve throttle bodies?

Anyone ever use one? I know some of the bimmers and VW's ran them for a while as well as rotaries.

Thoughts, opinions?

It would have to be a custom fab intake with a silde valve to get it to work nicely even then no way it would all fit under the hood of most LS cars hoods. Most applications the stock intake or aftermarket style intakes allow for plenty of HP and anyone needing more just simply moves to a carbed setup since there are intakes readily available to convert them. It would be interesting too see though.

one problem I do see with a single is making sure the slide allows the air to flow evenly to all cylinders at part throttle. if you have the slide pull left to right it might allow more air into one bank vs the other. at full throttle though it will have much less restriction compared to the rotary valve since there will be nothing in the airs path.
