What is needed to run an LS2 intake on a LS1 engine
Started messing today and I noticed my LS1 throttle bracket won't work. What do I need? There is a hole in the intake around the area where the throttle bracket would be....what is the hole for? What do I need to use aftermarket fuel rails? I've heard of some O ring differances. Did I miss anything?

I still dont understand. The LS1 intake has a hole in it? That would be for the egr tube. An LS2 intake wont have that on there so you would have to scrap the egr and get blockoff plates.
If you are going to put an LS2 intake on you need new coolant lines, new tb, gasket, and there are a few other things.
In my opinion just go with the ls6 intake if you havent bought the LS2 already. Less wok invloved.

You will need an aftermarket or custom fabbed bracket to mount your throttle cable. LS2's were never offered with manual TB's. The hole off to the passenger side of the intake is for your MAP sensor. You will have to buy and extension harness or extend the wires yourself.

yes, tho not as much as an ls6...unless your talking FI, in which case the ls2 is better due to the larger throttle opening. additionally, a ported ls2 outflows an out of the box fast 90 (and costs a lot less doing it).

I'm running a 3 bar Map so I'll just thread and plug the hole. Is the holley the only TB option there is for using a cable TB....other then fabbing up a bracket?
