Can I tap into the heater hose flange for a water temp gauge?

Default Can I tap into the heater hose flange for a water temp gauge?

I plugged my heater hose flanges on the water pump because I don't need them. Can I just pull the water temp off of them? Or is there a special space for that?

depending what type of gauge u have alot of people use the port in the pass side head with the 1/8"npt to 12x1.5mm adapter for the sender.

Autometer, just needs a 1/8" female in to tap into.
