Default 01 ls6 intake manifold on 01 ls1

i searched, and have found all the how to's etc etc, my question is, do i HAVE to block off EGR if my car is an 01, also, i should have to dremel the ribs on the manifold?i read somewhere that was unnecessary if your going from an 01 to an 01. thanks in advance for any and all help.

oh boy... i rarely say this, but a simple search could have prevented this useless post... the dremeling of the bottom ribs on the intake is for the LS1 coolant line that goes to rear of the valley. LS6 uses rear block off plugs and only inject the front valley

you should have a ls6 intake already. I put one on my 98 formula and I didn't have to drill anything. you might want to look around before you drop 300 bucks on a intake you already have. I'm not sure but i don't think the ls6 intakes don't have the EGR do you have one on yours?
