Default What is this?

So I was taking my valve covers off last night and on the drivers side the last bolt on the valve cover had a bracket on it. To get a wrench on that bolt, I had to remove another bracket that had a slide tab that slid into the side of the intake manifold. This bracket had two vaccum lines attached to it, and one sensor. One vaccum line was not hooked up, but plugged up with a screw, but the other vaccum line went around to the back of the manifold somewhere it looked like. What is this? I have already removed my AIR/EGR so the t-bracket is not there. Is this associated with either one of those, and I just didnt know to remove it, or is it important?

The vacuum line that is plugged is for the AIR. Pictures would help.

If it was on the rear driver's side, sounds like an electrical/vacuum device that is inline with the AIR system. I removed that along with EGR and the Air pump when I did an LS6 intake swap.
