Default Low speed hesitation/knocking

I have a mild head/cams ls1 and i'm having this weird hesitation with knock down low idle-2krpm. After tuning out the knock the car still surges and bucks (more noticible in higher gears) tho not as violently now that the knock is gone. Would a lower t-stat fix this? After messing with injector timing we seemed to have gotten rid of it on the first pull only to have it do it on the second, hence why i suspect temps being a factor.
I'm also getting some 36#lb injectors what do you think are the chances of dirty injectors causing this problem?
