Default Electric cutout exhaust leak...

When I first got the cutout put on it closed all the way and didnt leak at all, but now I've noticed that it doesnt close all the way unless I hold the switch. As soon as I let go of the switch it has the damn leak again. Has anybody else had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I was thinkin about makin a gasket for it using some RTV, but I didnt know id it would work. Its not leakin where it bolts on, its leaking on th elittle flap that opens up. Thanks in advance.

I think most people try to use rtv to create a better seal once this happens so it sounds as though you are on the right track.

Mine does the same thing. If it is still leaking after you close it, instead of holding the switch try just a quick "bump".
