Default 911 Please help now!!

Installed Lt's today. Fired the car up 3 different times.\
Runs great,
However, when i would turn the key on to let the pcm cycle on/off i could hear a popping/crackling sound like wires touching or something.
turn the key to the on position & the car does nothing but zzzzzzt & the lights are dim, & when i turn it off the guages go haywire!!! & the SES light comes on!!
Initially when i started the car the 1 few times it fired right up, no codes! No SES!!!!
It is going to rain, my windows are down & i have never replaced my battery!! Car has 105K!
New Alt, Seems like maybe the alt wires are touching somewhere & maybe got burnt. HELP!!!!!

check down by the pass side header. Did you take the starter out or just loosen the 2 bolts and let it hang out of the way/ If you took it off you might have something not so right on the starter.

Do you have someone who can cycle the key for you while you check? Without knowing what you removed, moved, etc. during the install it's difficult to guess at a solution.
