Default How much better are the 241's over the 853's

Is it worth it to do a swap ifd i could find a set and have them ported? Stock for stock is there a noticeable gain?

stock for stock there is no point in changing them. but 241's are a fine core to have ported.

Stock for stock the 241's will give you a few more hp, but not enough to warrant the expense. When you start porting they're the same head. A simple port polish on the 853's will make them equal to the 241's.

Find some 243s if you want to swap stock heads on...they'll give you a decent increase and can sometimes be found for cheap.

I've seen a few pop up every now and then for $250 with low miles.
