Default 243's and patriot golds problems?

i dropped a set of 243 off at a local machine shop to have patriot gold dual springspart # 8401 installed theyre saying they need to open up the spring pocket, but the amount that needs to be taken off is going to cut close to the intake runner anyone hear of this before? also im using an MTI X1 cam (<<info in sig) he said it may be to much pressure once they remove material. . . does this sound right?

you should not have to open the spring pocket. They come with new seats that the springs sit on nicely. Installed height works out to be about perfect too.
