Default Urgent, easy exhaust question...

Okay, so I'm in the middle of installing my brand new GMMG exhaust and am having some problems. I'm currently trying to get the new intermediate pipe onto the existing Y-pipe, but I can't get the clamp onto the new I-pipe. The clamp is a 2.5" band clamp (it came with the system), and no matter what I do, I can't get it on the I-pipe. I've been working at this for a long time now, any help is greatly appreciated...

The I pipe is 3", the band clamp that came with mine slid right over. You should also have gotten a U clamp for the rear section, see if that fits.

Personally I would have it welded if I were you. That way you will be sure there are no leaks

I think the 2.5" band clamps are for the tips and there should be a 3" band for the Y to I connection. Maybe they forgot it or sent too many 2.5"s
