Thanks for the tips guys, lol @ 98 transam...
When i used to own my Mr2 (years ago), Toyota would give me 15-35% discounts on parts (depending on type, i.e. body, mechanical, electrical) because i was in the system as being in the "mr2 club," or something like that. Just didnt know if GM had something comperable.

Friend of mines last name is Sears - he calls ahead to see if it's in stock, then asks them to put it aside and picks it up. He says sometimes they give him a lower price without even asking. Too funny.

Become friends with the guys that work there and get all your parts from them. BS with them for a little bit if it's not busy, then just ask them if they can cut you a break on the price and they'll earn you as a customer in the future. At dealerships there are several different pricing brackets for various classes of customers (from the first timer that walks in off the street to the guy that does $100k+ a year with you) and it's easy to choose which bracket you price the person with. Good/friendly/frequent customers get the best prices. Usually employee price is cost+5% unless you are management.
If you are going to buy there a lot, you might consider filling out a parts & service credit application and open an account with them. It is free, gives you preferred pricing, and you don't have to pay that day

I say I'm from another dealership.. that usually earns me money off right away although its not going to get you the best price. Parts have a pretty huge markup. Like 35%, and usually the parts guy can give you a discount but doesnt want to.. so there is room to move a lot.. but most people dont know it.
