Default LQ4/6.0 valve covers with LS1 coil brackets?

Dumb question warning.

If I have the LQ4 valve covers, can I bolt my stock LS1 coil brackets to them?

It's a 2003 LS1/6

Not sure but if you need a coil relocation kit to mount them I can help you out with it and a custom set of MSD superconductors guaranteed for life to go with it

I have the LS-1 valve covers and bolted the truck coils and brackets to them no problem. I would think you can go the other way also! Anyway! the mounting holes were the same on mine.

The valve covers are the same on both. In fact the valve covers are the same from 1999-2007 on all GM V8s that are GenIII platofroms (LS1, LQ4, LM3, etc ...).

ls1 coils will NOT fit in the lq4 brackets. i just did this and it doesnt work. the brakets fit on the valve covers fine. but the holes dont line up good enough for the coils to mount on the bracket, and the coils are too wide to fit in the holes for the brackets.
