Default Escalade?

ok i have a 2000 cadillac escalade ......what motor does it have in it ..ls wise ...i know it says vortech 5.7 350 so does this mean maybe some of my old ls1 parts will work on in such as my headers maybe.......i herd the fastest escalade runs 12's is all so .....someone hit me up...

I have a 99, its a vortec motor thats based off LT1, its not the newer LS style truck motors...im fairly sure you cant inter change the parts! And my 99 escalade is super slow!

The 2000's are kind of strange...some are the older boxy style trucks and then some are the newer more rounded style. The older style is derived off the LT1 which it must be in your case if you know for sure that it's a 5.7L. The newer ones are based on LS motors but they're 5.3L or there was an option for the escalades to get a 6.0L as well.

well escalade years are 99-00 1st gen then they stopped making them for 01 and came out with the LS style 2nd gen ones 02-06 i think.
