Cant figure out the correct P/N for the big plug in the side of the block?
Too many part #s floating around and I cant figure out which one I need for the big plug on the side of the block in the water jacket. The one that looks like you need a huge allen key to get out. Anyone know the part # for that one? This is for an LQ9 block, I ASSUME its the same as the LS1? Anyone able to verify that?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Dont know why it was so confusing to me, but in case anyone else doesnt know this is the very large plug on the side of the blocks P/N.

I had to buy that plug also for my ls1 when i bought it...and that is the correct part number
and when installing it if you don't have an allen wrench that big what i did was find a nut that would fit in there perfectly and got about 4 of them then threaded them onto a bolt so you can stick it in the plug and onto a socket. I welded the nuts together on the bolt so they wouldnt just fall of the bolt when you try to loosen it (if you have to take the old one out) but it is possible to do without welding them.
I'm sure there is a tool for this but this is what i did and it worked perfect
hope this helps
