look around the florida section...somebody had the T2, Fast, and i think stock TFS215s...something like 456rwhp...through a 12bolt.

not sure of a4/m6 though

but thats in the 460s easy if you had a lighter rear end.

There are plenty of numbers out there. If your cam is over 230 duration and you run a FAST manifold, you'll make 460+/410+ it seems. Some of the better combos are doing 480-500/430+ with big cams or what you'd expect from an aftermarket head (just like ETP or AFR).

One thing to note about the TFS 215, you can either have them milled to 61cc and run the GM MLS gaskets or you run a 0.040" Cometic with the stock 64cc, and you'll have enough clearance for the VRX5 or MS3 or G5X3 or similar cam. You'll have to flycut if you try to mill with a 0.040" Cometic or try to mill more than .018" (for 61cc) with that size cam. Anything smaller than ~230, and you'll be set with either the GM gaskets and 61cc or the 64cc and Cometics (I'd recommend the 64cc with Cometics - better quench with similar compression = more reliable power).

A good cam for it would be something in the 228-232 duration range with a Cometic .040" Gasket. Examples would be the TSP Torquer 2, VRX4 from Vengeance, a G5X2 from LG, F13 from Futral, or a TR230 from Thunder.

Kurtomac shows the potential with a pretty good sized cam (VRX5). Had he milled more (58cc), run a thinner gasket (Cometic .040"), and flycut to make room, he probably would have seen another ~14rwhp (0.8 point of compression is around 3%). A lot of work, but the numbers would have been right at 480.

So off-the-shelf, 450-460 should be attainable and with some work, 480 should be possible without too much heartburn.

And just something to think about, TSP Stage 2.5 5.3L heads would make very similar power - and in fact have done right around 450-460 with an MS3 (just about the same size as a VRX5) and stock FAST. Mill those heads, port the FAST, and run the thinner gasket and you'd see 480 out of those combos too.

i have the LS1 trick flow CNC 215cc heads. they are slightly touched up by Chris Frank@RayMac racing engines (ls1tech.com member NASTE_SS) to 218cc intake runner size i can remember they flow 325cfm at high lift, I think the chambers are 64cc. i haven't installed them yet, my car is M6 though. i will let you know what my car will do once the TFS 215cc heads are installed but i feel it will do like 460rwhp to 470rwhp with good tune. i recommend using roller rockers with these TFS heads, myself i will go with the 1.7 harland sharp non adjustable roller rockers.

Cool. Keep us informed. You probably have another 8-10rwhp in the tune. I was thinking of the VRX5 and the TFS 215s and have been interested to see what happens with your setup... but now I'm thinking 58cc, .040" Cometics, and flycut with the Vindicator. If Ron is right and the Vindicator is worth a solid 10rwhp over the VRX5, that'd put the combo in the ~490+ range with the right tune. Btw, 58cc chambers (.036" mill) with .040" cometics and .007" piston out of the hole is right at 11.8:1 CR.

Trickflow heads are killer. My car just ran 9.98@138.80 with the tfs 215's on a stock bottom end 346 n/a corvette(c5).
This car is my street car driven to and from the track.
The quality and performance are top notch.

I have the trick flow 215CNC and make 447rwhp and 403rwtq through a 4400rpm stalled A4 and a Strange 12bolt. The cam specs are 234/236-646/612@114LSA and all supporting mods. Runs very low 11's and should be able to get it into the 10's with good air.
