Default PCV system

I took my intake off and found that the connector that connects the one plastic hose on the left valve cover to the plastic hose on the right one and also connects the hose to the throttle body was burned in half. It pretty much connects one plastic hose into two. I went to the GM dealer to get this piece but they said I would have to buy the whole thing. $120.00 so needless to say thats not going to happen. I figured I would just run heater hose and a T fitting you guys think this would be ok or is there some other reason that I need to keep the stock stuff. I'm also going to keep that fuel filter looking thing up front in the system. I'm not hurting anything by doing this am I?

Should work fine without any issues...but just in case, I will check my parts stash as I may have that piece lying around somewhere, I will check.

Can you send me a picture of what you need?? if it is a rubber connector with two port on one side and a single port on the opposite end , then yes I have it. Kinda resembles a fat y?
