What heads??
Iam thinking of doing a head swap in the near future and iam not too sure what heads to buy. My mods are as follows: 224 cam, ls6 intake, ported TB, Lid, Longtubes w/ ORY, 150 wetshot, and 4.10s.
I dont have the money for afrs or anything that expensive, but was looking at the LS6 heads or the stage 2.5 5.3 heads by PRC. From what ive read the 5.3s will bump my compression a little which is a good thing I guess. I just dont want to make a mistake on this one.

The 5.3's will get you the bump in compression without alot of milling, which is nice in case you ever decide to swap to a larger camshaft down the road. The LS6's are very nice though and get you a few more CFM up top too!
Let me know if I can help with your combo. I'd be glad to help!

Thanks for the input. So which is more important bumping the compression up a little or more cfm up top?? I dont want to have a power band that starts at 3500rpm or something that high. Right now the car pulls from just off idle, and makes great power through the curve.

Since the 5.3 heads will bump your compression they will give you better power down low and if you decide to put on nitrous then the extra compression will work well with these heads because nitrous loves high compression.
edit: It looks like you already have nitrous....
If forced induction is on the way then the lower compression, higher flowing LS6 heads will be better as high compression does not work as well with forced induction.

look into the LS6 2.5's milled to 61cc. should fit your cam but not sure. you will have more compression (something like 11.3:1) then the 5.3's and better flow. if you are looking for a bigger cam in the future, i would research hard what to buy, but if you want to keep the same cam then the 2.5's 61cc are good. maybe im wrong though, just trying to help.
