dtc 332 and are my heads good or bad?
i have a 2000 z28 m6 w/2.73's. it has loudmouth exhaust and the metal 'scoop' thingy that goes from the air box to in-between the radiator and condensor. stock everything else. 97xxx miles. the ses light came on, and i noticed the idler pulley was clicking so i replaced it. cleared the code, and drove it about a day and it came back on. now when i turn it off, i only stays off bout 10 min, then comes back on. car doesnt miss or run rough. didnt know if maybe i have a sensor problem. also, i was looking at the heads and they are 853 castings. what does that mean, pro's-cons vs. other heads. thanks.

DTC 332 is a knock sensor code, it is the rear knock sensor. If the knock sensor is loose or too tight the code may set, the torque on it should be 15 ft.lbs. Water in the sensor cavity can also cause this ( if you wash your engine frequently). If you have an ohmmeter, ohm the knock sensor wire should be between 90-110 ohms. You could just have a bad knock sensor too. Search is your friend! Don't forget to check out all of the great sponsors here too!
